Candidates

It’s time to rev up for the 2010 elections.  The left is well-funded and won’t go down without a fight.  It’s not only about Democrats and Republicans, however:  Regardless of party, we need to support and elect good conservative Patriots to represent us.  I’m focusing mostly on Colorado candidates at this point. I don’t endorse anybody I haven’t met and listened to. I’ll look up their voting record if they have one but frankly I like citizen-legislators in the tradition of the Founders–so I’m looking at biography and character.

Sen Jim DeMint has started a site to support conservatives for the senate in 2010.  It’s Senate Conservatives and well worth a look. I can’t do better than recommend his site. For senator from Colorado I must mention Ken Buck, who has earned Sen DeMint’s endorsement.

It’s still early in the primary season so the list can (and likely will) change often:

In Colorado:

See Candidate Search 2010 for candidates throughout Colorado.

For Secretary of State, Scott Gessler. Bernie Buescher, the current Democrat Secretary of State, is a typical liberal Democrat lawyer who is pushing election “modernization” that will fling the doors wide open to vote fraud. People don’t usually pay much attention to races like this, but this year it is essential that we do.

For Treasurer, JJ Ament. This is a position for which we don’t need a lawyer or a carer politician–we need someone who understands finance and JJ is that kind of person.

For governor, Dan Maes.  This entrepreneur and self-made businessman is exactly the kind of person we need to straighten out the financial mess that the Democrats in Denver have gotten us into. You couldn’t ask for a person with more integrity.

In House District 7 (Denver) I support Pauline Olvera. You will never find more passion for service than this woman has. She will do a tremendous job representing the people of HD 7.

In El Paso County:

Karen Cullen for CO House Dist 18. I’ve written about Karen before; She’s another common-sense business person who has got good ideas about how to get Colorado’s economy back on track.

Owen Hill for CO Senate Dist 11. Owen is an Air Force Academy grad and an economist by training. He won’t be overspending and overtaxing. Read more about him on his site.

Kent Lambert for CO Senate Dist 9

Amy Stephens for CO House Dist 20

I would like to recommend you take a look at Dean Boehler. Dean is running in a primary against Ellen Roberts, State Senate District 6. Ellen Roberts is a moderate, at best.
